GR Solutions'
team comprises people with direct experience in and a strong
understanding of Australia's political and policy process. Our personnel
have extensive experience in and intimate understanding of the processes
of Government at the highest levels. They are drawn from both major
Australian political parties. Senior personnel include:
Hon. Wayne Matthew - Director
Wayne served for 16 years in the South Australian
House of Assembly (14 years on the front bench) and from 1993 to 2002,
was a Minister in successive Liberal Governments serving in a variety of
portfolios including as Minister for Minerals and Energy. He also served
as Administrative and Information Services Minister (construction,
procurement and information technology) and as Police, Correctional
Services and Emergency Services Minister. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Arts
(Politics) degree from the University of Adelaide.
Wayne left politics in 2006 to pursue a new career. He has extensive
experience in policy development, government reform and contracting of
government services to the private sector. The Minerals and Energy
portfolio has equipped him with a solid knowledge of the Mining and
Petroleum industries and associated Government processes and also of the
National Energy Market.

David Scotland - Senior Consultant
David joined GR
Solutions as a Senior Consultant on 14 July 2008. David has worked as an
advisor to South Australian ALP Members of Parliament and Cabinet
Members over the past 10 years and his advice has covered the portfolio
areas of Agriculture, Aquaculture, Food and Wine, Aboriginal Affairs and
Reconciliation. David holds a Bachelor of Laws, and Bachelor of Arts
(Politics) degrees from the University of Adelaide.
David has extensive experience in policy
development, strategic planning and issues management and internal
political party operations as well as experience in high level
negotiation with political, industry and departmental representatives.
David has served on multiple ALP Committees and Boards including the
Board of SA Progressive Business, (the interface between the ALP and the
business community), on policy and membership committees.
